Citizens for a Safer, Resilient Napa
Napa County is facing an undeniable reality. We lived it—the catastrophic Glass, Atlas, Tubbs, Nuns and countless other fires too numerous to name. We’ve had too many close calls, and the threat of wildfire will keep looming over us if we don’t act now.
We also know the State and Federal Government can’t fix all of our problems. Without action, insurance companies will cancel more policies and further raise fire insurance rates for homeowners. We need locally controlled funding to ensure a safer, more resilient Napa County for all.
That’s why we need Measure B.
Measure B provides dedicated, local funding to tackle three critical, interconnected goals: Wildfire Preparedness, Watershed Protection, and Open Space Preservation.
MEASURE B reduces catastrophic wildfire risk by clearing dry brush and fire hazards, establishing firebreaks, and creating fire-safe evacuation routes.
MEASURE B protects our drinking water by preserving the watersheds, reservoirs, and infrastructure that supply clean, reliable water to every city and community in Napa County.
MEASURE B preserves thousands of acres of open space, protecting native species and wildlife corridors, reducing wildfire danger and ensuring access to parks throughout Napa County for us, our children, and future generations.
By law, 100% of Measure B funds stay in Napa County — nothing can be taken by the State or Federal Government. Funds can be spent only on wildfire preparedness, watershed protection, and open space preservation, as outlined in the detailed expenditure plan in Measure B. A citizens’ oversight committee and independent auditor will review every penny spent. Groceries, medicine, diapers, and feminine hygiene products are all exempt from Measure B.
The Napa Valley is a world-class region worth protecting. Let’s work together to make sure future generations of Napans have safer communities, clean drinking water, and beautiful parks and open space.
